The Town who has taken on the task of Community and Business development under the tillage of Tom Pickering (annual salary of $96,000.00 per year) and town administrator Randy Repola (annual salary of $107,000.00 per year).
It seems that a local businessman who operates a down town business has taken to calling Mr. Pickering whenever there are no patrons walking the streets of the Commercial Business district. Thats brilliant, why didn’t I think of that? Mr. Pickering heard from this businessman almost daily all winter. Last week this business man wrote an editorial in the local press exalting the community development director to start developing some business he is compensated well enough and his performance is lacking the measuring stick ...no business in the business district. Today May 6, 2005 Tom Pickering filed a police complaint against this businessman with the police department. How dare a citizen and businessman of this community hold a town employee accountable?
It seems that another local citizen has taken an interest in the activities in town hall especially the finances. This good citizen has been a local activist for improved (actually some) town accountability for several years and he has been labeled a local firebrand by the town interior propaganda minister Peter Marsh. Instead of advertising the town, his job, ( $76,000.00 per year) The town administrator Randy Repola has Peter analyze the contents of editorials and grades them and keeps files of all you firebrands. Seems Randy Repola has had enough of this citizen after this citizen discovered that the town flushed all the towns hard drives, porn, budget and all down the drain (to the tune of $71,000.00)
Nobody seems to have a copy of the entire 2004 budget ...including library copies. Hummmm.
Well Randy circulated a memo instructing all town employees that they cannot talk to this citizen.
