AGENDA TIME !

Traditionally communities search their ranks for individuals that take the time to understand the pulse of the community, the dynamics of the community and combine that insight with the innate ability to see the overall “big” picture. We elect these people leaders to oversee the spending of our hard earned tax dollars.

Your leaders should investigate the issues, dynamics, problems, attributes and present potentials in the form of an agenda. “I see things this way and I present my list of priorities and or solutions”.

By definition an agenda is a list or program of things to be done or considered, especially an item on a program or list.

There are different types of agendas, an agenda can be expressed out front for all to see or an agenda can be personal - hidden - private or an agenda can be a complicated combination of personal/private. One thing all individuals aspiring to be public leaders have in common is an agenda. They consciously make the decision, seek a position of authority and they take the necessary steps to posture themselves to be elected, which is in itself a personal agenda.

The only way we the voting public can gauge, judge or grade the effectiveness of our leaders is to understand their publicly expressed agenda and elect them according to how we agree or disagree with that agenda and then measure their actions once in office against that list.

All individuals seeking elected office should have an agenda that should be expressed publicly. Anyone seeking public office expressing “I have no agenda” is an idiot or a liar and the Estesparkian will treat you that way.

The Estesparkian exclusively reserves the right to being anonymous to express what you all think without fear of retribution, but the Estesparkian is not seeking public office and you can choose to log on or off at anytime, which is fine by me. Logging a trustee on or off is not so easy.

The Estesparkian is going to evaluate each of our potential trustees; we will, to the best of our ability, post agendas that have been expressed in print. If we miss a publicly printed agenda please feel free to correct us by copying this agenda as a comment.

For those candidates who do not publish - publicly - their agenda we will create our own opinion of what we feel is the private/hidden agenda.

This should be fun.
