Who Will Vote? Who Will Win?

The universal theme of the candidates running for office point out the very problems we all face. They don’t know what the hell they are talking about.
1. Parking – Candidates feel that signage will be the answer, when the Town has built 200 spots at the visitor center which will be used up for the illegal shuttle that will be traipsing people into the park. There is not enough parking PERIOD!
2. Marketing- They seem to feel that whatever has been done in the past is good enough. The reason our businesses fail is because Vail and Aspen spend too much. We’re just fine. In fact, the marketing that the Town does is not only inadequate, it is outdated. We have no identity, no central theme and no cohesiveness between what we offer and what visitors want. Then, when we have focus groups, no one listens because the groups are all run by the staff and they eventually do whatever they want. They answer to nobody.
3. Those running for office have apparently already made up their minds about what is good for the Town – Status Quo. They just want to join the Club.

Where are the good and able people who are willing to look at changes in this community? As to whom to pick to vote for, again the first choice is: why bother.

So, who wins in this election? The candidates that get to join the club.
